A method of transferring graphene comprising: growing a graphene layer on a top surface of a growth substrate; affixing the growth substrate onto a surface of a transitory substrate; scorin g an outer ed g e of the top surface of the g rowth substrate with a plurality of score marks; immersin g the g rowth substrate affixed to the transitory substrate in a conductive solution; electrifying the conductive solution to cause a formation of bubbles at least at the outer ed g e of the top surface of the g rowth substrate; delaminating the graphene layer from the growth substrate; and transferring the graphene layer onto a target surface-wherein the delaminatin g of the graphene layer from the g rowth substrate is facilitated by the formation of the bubbles.
