A manufacturing process for the production of supercapacitors having increased energy density, comprising: perforating a series of oriﬁces on an element sheet; layering the element sheet with photoresist on one or both sides; exposing portions of the photoresist to a light source to remove these portions from the element sheet; printing graphene ink within the remaining portions of the photoresist and through the oriﬁces; printing graphene ink on both sides of the element sheet ﬁlling the oriﬁces to create terminals that have a larger size as compared to the remaining portions and to connect both sides of the element sheet; removing remaining portions of photoresist thereby leaving a pattern design; printing electrolyte within the pattern design; and wherein the pattern design forming electrodes having minimal spacing between gaps to increase the energy density within the supercapacitor. steps:perforate orifices on element sheet, layer element sheet with photoresist on one or both sides, expose portions of photoresist to light source to remove those portions, print graphene ink within remaining photoresist portions and through orifices, print graphene ink on both sides filling orifices to create terminals, remove remaining photoresist leaving pattern design, print electrolyte within pattern design
