Compositions of PEEK resin containing 3, 6, and 9 wt.% of multi-walled carbon nanotube Nanocyl 7000 were tumble blended then compounded in a lab scale DSM compounder. ISO 527-2-1BA tensile specimens were injection molded and tested per ISO specification. Results reported in Table 6.

Compositions of PEEK resin containing nanographene platelets (NG 3) at various loadings (3, 6, 9 wt.%) were compounded in a lab scale DSM compounder. Tensile specimens were injection molded and tested. The specific surface area (BET) of NG 3 is approximately 30 m2/g. Compared to MWNT formulations, NGP formulations showed higher ductility (elongation at break), higher tensile modulus, and easier processing.

Compositions of PEEK resin containing 3, 6, and 9 wt.% of multi-walled carbon nanotube Nanocyl 7000 were tumble blended then compounded in a lab scale DSM compounder. ISO 527-2-1BA tensile specimens were injection molded and tested per ISO specification. Results reported in Table 6.

Compositions of PEEK resin containing nanographene platelets (NG 3) at various loadings (3, 6, 9 wt.%) were compounded in a lab scale DSM compounder. Tensile specimens were injection molded and tested. The specific surface area (BET) of NG 3 is approximately 30 m2/g. Compared to MWNT formulations, NGP formulations showed higher ductility (elongation at break), higher tensile modulus, and easier processing.
